UNINTERRUPTED SERVICES DURING PANDEMIC
Situation
Situation
The global pandemic spread rapidly, infected millions, and brought much of the economy to a standstill. While most sectors shut down, offshore operations continued due to their national importance. Saraf quickly recognized the risk COVID-19 posed to remote offshore sites with limited medical support. Any carelessness could have put lives and operations at serious risk. Our biggest challenge was to maintain timely supply and manpower without compromising our standards. This was especially difficult in Mumbai High, where we faced severe raw material shortages while managing large-scale offshore requirements.
Strategies
In the interest of our staff, their families and communities, our customers, and clients, we took several steps to do our part in limiting the outbreak.
Supply Chain
Management
We maintained continuous, uninterrupted supply, ensuring no shortage of material onboard and taking prompt action. On the day of the lockdown announcement, we foresaw the problem and stocked all installations for at least a month, demonstrating financial preparedness.
Quarantine
Center
To limit the outbreak and ensure the safety of our crew as well as those offshore, we created our very own isolated quarantine center. The facility was run and managed by our staff, and strict sanitization protocols were followed rigorously.
Office
Containment
We contained our office staff within the premises of our office, providing round-the-clock cafeteria services, daily laundry services, and fumigation as required. This ensured the safety and well-being of our staff while maintaining operational continuity.
